Abstract:It mainly focus on the radar target detection in the compound Gaussian sea clutter in the paper. The compound Gaussian sea clutter is composed of the Gaussian speckle modulated by the texture. Modelling the texture as the Gamma and inverse Gamma distribution has caused the error of fitting. So, the texture is modelled as the inverse Gaussian distribution in this paper, based on the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT), the inverse Gaussian GLRT (IGS-GLRT) detector is proposed in this paper. The computational complexity of the new proposed IGS-GLRT is slightly higher than the compared detectors. By fitting texture distribution of CSIR sea clutter, it is verified that texture obeys inverse Gaussian distribution. Finally, by the Monte Carlo technique, the experimental results of simulated sea clutter and real sea clutter show that the proposed IGS-GLRT has a better detection performance than the compared detectors in simulated and real sea clutter.
